111-meter Project Palo Alto

Project Palo Alto was launched by German yard Lürssen in 2016 and designed by Winch Design. This superyacht features various curved sections that differ with the straight lines built by the decks and was launched on 19th October just eleven months after its keel was laid. The Alto’s beam measure 16.85 meters, thereby allowing for huge interiors across six decks and its great exterior makes it ideal for hosting large gatherings. Significant on-board features include expansive staircases which set the tone for a stylish interior design. Currently commandeered by Moran Yacht & Ship, Project Alto is slated for delivery in 2018.

Nordhavn 80

Nordhavn revealed plans regarding their newest addition to its collection of elegant explorer yachts; the Nordhavn 80, due to launch in two years’ time at their Xiamen facility. The 24.38-meter GRP-displacement vessel inherits a significant chunk of its rugged look from the Nordhvan 96. The Nordhavn 80 accommodates up to eight guests distributed in four cabins along with a main-deck owner’s room. A twin room and two doubles beneath the deck complete the guest area, while the aft workers’ quarters allow for two people. Dual staircases lead down from the aft deck to the bathing platform. The deck is covered by an extended upper deck overhang where guests can unwind around a semi-circular table while the nearby electric barbecue allows you to whip up a meal. The Nordhavn 80 will be powered by two 375ho John Deere 6090SFM85 diesel engines with an 18,000-litre capacity.

Alder SupremaX

The Alder collection of carbon fibre hybrid yachts has a new member to its family; the 25.25-metre Alder SupremaX. Created on speculation, the boat will be designed in both the interior and exterior by Nuvolari Lenard. The yard’s head honcho, Philipp Pototschnik told Boat International at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, production for the boat had commenced with the super-structure already built and the first sail slated for 2019. The SupremaX sits up to eight guests in the lower deck distributed between four all unsuited cabins including the owner’s cabin. Two convertible dual cabins aft and a VIP double make up the guest layout while the quarters allow for two staff. Key features include a sheltered cockpit ideal for relaxing and taking meals with its accommodating armchairs and coffee tables. Moving inside, the dining table can hold up to six guests while the adjoining saloon boasts a projector screen and an L-shaped sofa.
